Custom Designed Containment Systems

Our Containment Systems are constructed from high performance A+ durable concrete and have a service life of 500 or more years.
Custom Designed Containment Systems
Features:
Safe, unobtrusive environmental containment of radwaste.
Constructed from super durable concrete: 500 or more years of safe storage, very sturdy and fire resistant.
Containers can be tailor made and optimized for a specific use.
Smaller packagings can be accommodated in any CEP - US above ground facility, and our pricing is very competitive.
CEP BOX  DOT model
The CEP - US DOT Box (patent pending) is 2.44m x 1.22m x 1.13m with an internal volume of 17.2 cubic meters or 1720 litres.
    [Imperial: 8’x4’x3’ 8¾”, with an internal volume of 60.75 cubic feet]
The Box can contain a payload up to 5443 kg. (12,000 lbs) making it an ideal container for very heavy compacted radioactive waste. The CEP - US DOT Box also offers a useful service life of 500 or more years, superior intrinsic shielding, good stackability, small footprint, and are retrievable.

Very sturdy and fire resistant container: cost effective security
Superior intrinsic shielding: 6 times that of the 55 gallon drum
Multipurpose: a storage container that can also be used for safe on and off-site transportation - best choice for secure radcommodity containment

CEP CUBE DOT model
The CEP - US DOT high performance Cube (patented) is approximately a 1 meter (3.28 ft.) cube with an internal capacity of .31 cu meters (10.9 cubic feet) and can safely contain a maximum of 738.4 kg (1,628 lbs).
The spherical void of the Cube would make it ideal for containing radioactive liquids, powders, small pellets, or other material which could be poured.

CEP ONSITE Containers 
(LOW COST )
CEP Low Cost Onsite Containers are all constructed from A+ durable concrete and can be custom sized to meet the customer's needs.
The suggested size is 2.44m x 1.22m x 1.13m with an internal volume of 17.2 cubic meters or 1720 litres. [8 feet long, 4 feet wide, 3’ 8 ¾” high], the same external dimensions as the CEP - US DOT Box.
This size compatibility allows for convenient stack-ability in CEP above ground storage systems.
CEP ONSITE Containers 
(LOW COST )
Features:
Extremely long-life: 500 or more years
Very sturdy and fire resistant container:
     cost effective security
Building block in an above-ground
     storage facility
Good intrinsic shielding
Cost effective: competitive volume and
     weight capacity, small footprint
Stacking ability and easily retrieved when necessary
The CEP Onsite Containers are not suitable for offsite transportation
CEP - US Boxes can be fabricated on-site for local employment and customer convenience.
CEP High Security Container or CEP-HSC
Introducing the CEP High Security Container or CEP-HSC - the sturdy, fire and intruder resistant container from CEP-US.
The CEP-HSC is the best choice for the intruder resistant containment of high security or precious inventory. The Customers would be the Departments of Defense, Energy, or other government departments, their contractors or firms who need to contain potentially dangerous or precious inventory in a cost effective manner.
Specifications are the same as the CEP BOX  DOT model.
CEP High Security Container or CEP-HSC
Features:
Extremely long-life: 500 or more years - a container that can be used for the safety of future generations
Very sturdy, fire and intruder resistant
     container: cost effective security
Secure fastenings, which can be
     changed from time to time to
     enhance security.
Stacking ability / retrievable:  the CEP-HSC can be stacked 10 high
Small Footprint: Since space is often at a premium in high security premises the less space used for storage the better.
CEP - US Boxes can be fabricated on-site for local employment and customer convenience.
Vitrification Container VIT-PAC
     Vitrification of certain radioactive waste streams has been considered for some time. CEP-US is pleased to offer the radioactive waste management community our VIT-PAC.
    The outer shell of the CEP-US vitrification container system is constructed from super durable concrete to insure extremely long service life - 500 years or more.
    The inner liner of the VIT-PAC is fabricated from high integrity refractory heat shielding material.
    The CEP DOT Cube and Box would be good choices for ease of handling, transportation and long-term storage in a CEP Above Ground Monitored Retrievable Storage Facility.
    VIT-PACs can also be sized on a case-by-case basis for customer convenience. We at CEP-US look forward to turning a tested concept into a practical solution - the CEP VIT-PAC - optimizing the vitrification option.

Ducrete Containers 
(High Shield )
    Ducrete containers are used in cases where additional shielding is required.
   Ducrete is both an excellent neutron and gamma shield, and the ratio of attenuation can be optimized for each application.
   The mixture density can be tailored to the application and densities of up to 368 lb/ft3 have been achieved.
